Trends of the Future

What did I find most interesting from this session?
That there are already jobs made for the future which cant be overrun by robots as they are too sophisticated.

Is Information Technology an area you feel comfortable or do you think this is a skill you need to improve? If yes, brainstorm some ways in which you could do this.
I know basic skills in Information Technology but may need to improve because most jobs soon will be based on technology. I can improve by doing technology courses at TAFE or doing ICT as a subject at school. Although my career goal (Primary School Teacher) does not involve much technology only Word documents and power points.

The power point featured lots of interesting info-graphics. Which one did you find most interesting and why?
I find this info-graphic quite surprising because I would of thought that builders and tradies jobs cannot be replaced. I would have thought that these jobs wouldn't have been replaced because how are robots going to build houses and buildings.

We looked at the top three growth industries by 2025. Were you surprised by these? Do any of these industries interest you, if so which ones and why?
I wasn't surprised by these industries as they are some of the only jobs that cant be replaced by robots or computers. One of the industries is Education, which I am interested in. I would like to be a primary school teacher and I am quite happy that it is one of the top Growth Industries in 2025.

We also explored the top tertiary qualified jobs and the top vocational and trade jobs for 2025. Were there any of these jobs that stood out as something that might interest you? If so which one?Are you more drawn to tertiary qualified jobs or vocational and trade jobs?
I am interested in becoming a Primary school teacher which is one of the top tertiary qualified jobs. I am more drawn to tertiary qualified jobs then vocational and trade jobs.

Overall, did you find trends of the future interesting? Do you think knowing about the trends in the world of work is important when exploring possible career choices?
I actually did find it interesting to know the trends of the future and it helped me to explore more possible jobs that will be available in the future.
